ERGO-INDUSTRIAL ERGONOMIC SEATING::

The goal of proper seating is to reduce the stresses caused to the human body by the seated posture. Ergo-Industrial SPU chairs offer the following features:

Seat Pan

Various sized seat pans are available to ensure the seat pan is deep and wide enough to distribute the user’s weight evenly. All Ergo-Industrial seats feature:

  • Waterfall curve at the front edge to reduce pressure on the veins in the back of the legs
  • Contoured sides to redistribute weight away from the two ischial tuberosity bones (diagram)

Back Support

Ergo-Industrial backrests include a lateral curve, which reduces muscle activity by providing stability for the upper body, and a forward lumbar curve to help position the lumbar spine into its natural curvature. The lumbar curve is built into the back structure and not just the foam.

Ergo-Industrial backrest adjustment options include:

  • Vertical adjustment to allow the lumbar support to be placed where it is needed
  • Horizontal lumbar adjustment to vary the amount of support
  • Angle adjustment of the backrest in relation to the seat to more than 90 degrees

Arm Support

Arm supports help stabilize the upper body, thereby reducing static muscle activity and assist in getting in and out of the chair. All arm options come standard with a very durable industrial ARM CAP.
